Lily is a Great Dane that has been blind since a bizarre medical condition required that she have both eyes removed. For the last 5 years, Maddison, another Great Dane, has been her sight. The two are, of course, inseparable.

LGBT Supportive Army Strikes Back to Support Bullied Teen
Online bullying has been in the media a lot lately in relation to gay teen suicide. It has brought to light the extreme difficulties that teens deal with not only in the classroom, but what they face behind their computer screens at home. We no longer live in a world where young people can escape the kids from school in the comforts of their own home. They not only see these same kids on Facebook, but are living their lives in front much larger group of peers through Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube, to name a few social media outlets. Through the eyes of a teenager facing harsh bullying in both school and at home, Tanner is finding out how these online forums can be used to counteract the negative and create a positive.
This breaks my heart..
City Of Trash
I love New Jersey but it’s urban cities are getting out of control. Tonight I was informed of a shooting right down the block from me in Trenton’s Chambersburg. There were 3 incidents within a 5 mile radius of one another. One of which (the one closest to me) was over a road-rage happening. C’mon now, you need to be that angry about something cutting you off? or whatever they did? Is it that serious? Thing’s are going in the crapper in this area. As the Trentonian said it’s “A horror show.”
This area was once good. I’ve lived here my whole life and there was a time where my friends and I would be able to play outside without our parents having to worry about things like this. I knew the whole entire block and always had someone keeping an eye out, not that they needed to. But nowadays no one knows anybody and then ignorance sets in and gives everyone this idea of the strangers in their neighborhood. Most people, including myself, are afraid to even go down the street or even sit on the porch after dark.
My issue is with these guys and guns. 9 times out of 10 it’s not for protection but for the idea of being some sort of untouchable. No one’s gonna fuck with the man with a gun. Feeling like they have a 1-up one everyone else so they feel like a “man.” THAT’S what kills me. You need a gun to feel like a man? That, in my eyes, makes you a coward. To feel like you need to take life into your own hands and call yourself God makes you the lowest form of life on this planet. In the universe, in fact. What happened to throwing punches? At least then you were certain of whether you could truly handle yourself.
I say, grow the hell up and instead of shooting at innocent people, how about taking care of your kids? or getting a job? You know, like normal human beings do? Instead of being on the streets trying to intimidate everyone who looks in your direction by flashing shiny metal. Please get over yourselves. No one cares about you.
If you live in the area, here’s more about what’s going on: http://www.trentonian.com/articles/2011/10/26/news/doc4ea79d2b2eaef001456175.txt#photo1
